Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data We Collect

• First name: used for personalization within the app.
• Email address: used for login and household linking.
• Password: stored securely.
• Household linkage: which email addresses belong to the same household.
• Meal data: dinner suggestions, meal plans, and related content you create.

We do not collect or process sensitive personal data.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis

We process your data to provide and operate the Dinner Plan! service, enable account login and household sharing, and maintain and improve the user experience. The legal basis for this processing is performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

4. Data Storage and Location

Dinner Plan! uses Supabase, a trusted third-party service provider based in the United States. All data for Dinner Plan! is stored on Supabase servers located in Stockholm, Sweden.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account or contact us to remove your data, we will permanently delete it within a reasonable time frame.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent user data. Your personal data is only shared with Supabase (as our data processor) to operate the service.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, and delete your personal data, and in some cases, to object to or restrict processing. To exercise your rights, contact us at hello@app.dinnerplan.one.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Passwords are encrypted and never stored in plain text.

9. Children's Privacy

Dinner Plan! is not directed toward children under 13. If you are under 16 and located within the EU, you should use the service only with parental or guardian permission where required by law. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published in the App or on our website, with the updated date clearly indicated.
